Dr. Anam Hann

Dr. Anam Hann completed her DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree from the University of Toronto and is an active member of the Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, Halton-Peel Dental Association and the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. She has worked in a variety of settings including a private practice focused on family and pediatric dentistry, a hospital’s trauma/ emergency center, as well as in a practice focused on the Ontario Disability Support Program. She also completed a rotation at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto treating patients with special needs. She has recently joined the team at Tooth Fairy Dentistry as an associate, bringing her unique brand of infectious enthusiasm. In her own words:

‘I really like a quote from Steve Jobs which goes “The only way to do great work is to love what you do”…maybe because being a dentist is what I’ve always wanted to be! I love the fact that my profession enables me to help others.

In dealing with patients, I always aim for a ‘no surprises’ experience. I firmly believe that an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, and so tend to be keen on comprehensive treatment planning, focusing primarily on preventive strategies to maintain patients’ oral health. In my view the dentist-patient relationship needs to be a partnership predicated on trust. I invest time upfront in conducting a comprehensive patient examination and explain treatment options to patients so they can make well informed and critical decisions about their oral health.

I love to interact with people in general, and kids in particular…. and look to make their experiences as pleasant as possible so they can look forward to their check-ups and show responsibility and care towards their dental health.’

Dr. Hann has two young kids and a husband who keep her busy when she isn’t at work. She lives relatively close to the dental office, enabling her to maintain flexible timings to meeting her patients’ needs (much to her family’s chagrin).
